Bridging Theory and Practice: RBU Law Students at Supreme Court

Law students from the School of Law, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali, recently visited the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. The educational trip offered the students a first-hand experience of India’s apex judicial institution and an opportunity to witness live court proceedings, including arguments in landmark cases.
Dr. Dharminder Patial, Dean, School of Law, underscored the significance of such initiatives in legal education. He said, “Exposure to the practical functioning of courts enables students to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world practice. This experience will strengthen their understanding of judicial processes and prepare them for future challenges in the legal profession.”
Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, lauded the efforts of faculty members and mentors for facilitating the visit. He noted that such experiential learning opportunities contribute immensely to the holistic growth of students, equipping them with practical knowledge and professional skills beyond textbooks.
The visit was a valuable step in the University’s mission to provide quality education coupled with experiential learning. Students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, calling it both inspiring and motivating for their future careers in law.
