 Rayat Bahra University hosted two-day International Conference on Advancement in Computational and Applied Sciences (ICACAS–2026) in collaboration with Kurukshetra University, providing a vibrant global platform for academicians, researchers, and students to exchange ideas and explore emerging trends in science and technology.

The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from distinguished scholars and innovators, fostering meaningful discussions on cutting-edge developments in computational and applied sciences.

Welcoming the dignitaries and participants, Prof. (Dr.) Simerjit Kaur highlighted the vision and objectives of ICACAS–2026, emphasizing its role as an international forum for sharing scientific knowledge, practical achievements, and innovative solutions.

Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra formally welcomed the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. He encouraging participants to pursue excellence with dedication and to leverage such platforms for broadening their academic and professional horizons.

The Chief Guest, Malvinder Singh Kang,member of parliament inspired attendees with real-life experiences and stressed the importance of using digital platforms constructively for learning and growth. He also appreciated the innovative startups and projects showcased by students, highlighting their potential to contribute to future advancements.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.)  Sanjay Kumar extended his best wishes and lauded the collaborative initiative between the two institutions. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar also commended the effort and encouraged participants to make the most of the learning opportunities offered by the conference.

The event featured insightful sessions by eminent speakers, including Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kumar from CSIR, Chandigarh, and Dr. Surinder Pal, Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, Panjab University, who shared their expertise and perspectives on contemporary scientific challenges and innovations.

On the second day, Guests of Honour included Lt. (Dr.) Varinder Pal from Kurukshetra University and Dr. V.K. Kukreja from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Nisar Ahmad Lone from the University of Kashmir, offering valuable insights into emerging research domains.

A major highlight of ICACAS–2026 was the exhibition of student-led projects and startups, which received high appreciation from the Chief Guest and the Chancellor for their innovation and practical relevance.

Special acknowledgment was extended to Dr. Sachin Yadav from Kurukshetra University for his instrumental role in facilitating the collaboration.
