RBU’s Budding Lawyers Win Accolades at Advocacy Competition

Mehak Chowdhary of RBU Wins ‘Best Advocate Female’ Award

Students of the School of Law, Rayat Bahra University, have brought laurels to the institution by winning honours at the prestigious 2nd National IUU Trial Advocacy Competition 2024, organised by IMS Unison University, Dehradun.

The university team comprising Gungun Singh (BALLB, 3rd semester), Mehak Chowdhary (BALLB, 3rd semester), and Anant Singh (LLB, 5th semester) secured a spot among the top four teams as semi-finalists. Adding to the achievement, Mehak Chowdhary was declared the winner of the “Best Advocate (Female)” Award, further elevating the university’s reputation on the national stage.

Congratulating the winners, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra applauded Dean Dr Dharminder Patial for his consistent efforts in mentoring the students, providing them with the right platform, and motivating them during their preparation.

Dr Patial also commended the dedication of faculty in charge Avneet Kaur Dhillon and Jasmine Kaur Ahluwalia, whose guidance and support played a crucial role in the students’ success.

This achievement highlights the School of Law’s commitment to nurturing talent and preparing students for excellence in the field of legal advocacy.
