RBU Sports Meet 2026 Concludes with Enthusiastic Participation

Rayat Bahra University successfully organised its 15th Annual Sports Meet 2026 with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The event commenced with an energetic opening ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments.
The University School of Social Sciences emerged as the overall champion, lifting the coveted trophy.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Gurinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chairman of Rayat Bahra group, along with Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kumar and Registrar N. K. Yadav who applauded the students for their dedication and sportsmanship.
Prominent dignitaries including B. S. Bains (Director admin), Dr. Karamvir Singh Attri director sports, Sports Officer Kulbir Singh and other officials were also present.
Students displayed remarkable talent across events. In the 100m race, Measum Ali (USSS) and Nikita (USSS) secured first positions in boys’ and girls’ categories respectively. Jashanpreet (USP) and Kashish Rana (USPR) won the shot-put events, while Sunny (USP) and Sayantani (ITHS) excelled in long jump.
In team events, the Sports Club emerged victorious in basketball (boys and girls). In tug of war, Civil Department (boys) and USPS (girls) clinched top honours.
The sports meet concluded on a high note, reinforcing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of healthy competition among students, while fostering a culture of physical fitness and holistic development at the university.
