Rayat Bahra University honoured for excellence in education and social responsibility

Chandigarh, September 14 

Rayat Bahra University was honoured for its outstanding contribution to education, innovation, research and Education and Social Responsibility (ESR) at the first anniversary celebration of the Senior Journalists Forum.

The award was presented by Punjab Governor and UT Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar received the honour on behalf of University Chancellor and chairman Rayat Bahra Group Gurvinder Singh Bahra and the entire university fraternity.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor stressed the need for educational institutions, civil society and the media to work together to combat drug abuse, promote healthy lifestyles and encourage responsible citizenship among the youth.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar said the university had made significant progress in research, academic excellence and innovation. He highlighted its efforts to implement the National Education Policy (NEP), integrate artificial intelligence into education and promote Education and Social Responsibility initiatives.

He said the recognition reflected the visionary leadership of Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra and his commitment to advancing quality education, research, innovation and social development.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude for the honour and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing quality education and contributing to the welfare of society.
