Creativity Takes Centre Stage at RBU–IFCT’s ‘Bright Beginnings 2026’

RBU–IFCT Hosts ‘Bright Beginnings 2026’ Art and Craft Exhibition

India’s first industry-led fashion school, the Institute of Fashion & Communication Technology (IFCT), Rayat Bahra University (RBU), hosted Bright Beginnings 2026, a vibrant art and craft exhibition showcasing the creative talent of its students and faculty members. the exhibition stood as a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and contemporary design thinking.

The exhibition featured an impressive range of artworks, including mixed-media compositions, textile art, handcrafted décor, illustrations, sculptures, installations, and experimental design pieces. Each exhibit reflected months of rigorous academic training, studio practice, and creative exploration, highlighting IFCT’s strong experiential and industry-oriented learning model.

Students presented an array of design process work such as crochet models, embroidered paintings, water and oil colour artworks, colourful diyas, decorative artefacts, hand-painted dupattas, and exquisitely designed bags. The display offered visitors a glimpse into the evolving design sensibilities and technical skills of emerging designers.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, said, “Bright Beginnings is not merely an exhibition; it is a celebration of hard work, discipline, imagination, and mentorship. Such platforms play a crucial role in shaping confident and industry-ready professionals.”

Guest of Honour Dr Neha Miglani, Founder and Director, IFCT, expressed pride in the dedication of both faculty and students, stating that the exhibition reflected their commitment to excellence and creative innovation.

Emphasising student participation, Nimrat Kaur, a second-year BSc Fashion Design student, shared that Bright Beginnings provides students with valuable exposure and confidence by bringing together a year’s worth of creative projects under one roof.
