NCC Cadets Salute Veterans at Rayat Bahra University on Armed Forces Day

The NCC Department of Rayat Bahra University (RBU) organised a special programme to mark Armed Forces & Veterans Day. The event was dedicated to honouring Armed Forces veterans and acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the security, unity and integrity of the country

The programme was graced by Group Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Air Commodore (VSM) Veteran, as the Special Guest. Director NCC, Prof. (Major) A.S. Chahal formally welcomed the veterans by presenting garlands and conveying heartfelt appreciation for their invaluable contribution to the nation. Bouquets of roses were also presented as a symbol of love, honour and gratitude. Several veterans associated with Rayat Bahra University participated in the event, adding dignity and inspiration to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor delivered an impactful and inspiring address, highlighting the supreme sacrifices, discipline and unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces. He emphasized that veterans are role models for society, whose lives reflect courage, leadership and an unshakeable sense of duty towards the nation.

 NCC cadets presented speeches expressing deep respect and admiration for the Armed Forces, reaffirming their resolve to serve the nation with the same spirit of dedication. Poster-making competitions on the theme of Veterans Day were also organised to encourage awareness, patriotism and creative expression among the cadets.

Director NSS, Prof. (Major) A.S. Chahal, delivered a motivational lecture, asserting that service to the nation does not end with retirement from uniform. He said veterans continue to inspire society through their values of discipline, unity and national pride, teaching future generations the true meaning of commitment and selfless service.
